CLIENT

The Écoles de la deuxième chance (E2C) — Second Chance Schools, in English — are a group of schools that fighting against exclusion in the French educational system by providing educational opportunities for at-risk teens.

BRIEF

E2C approached us to build a teacher-training kit for Studio Traversée to be deployed at scale & to test it during a 15 hours of course over 5 sessions, with a group of 10 students aged 16-18.

PROJECT

Prior to the courses beginning, we created 5 short, instructional videos on how to install and set up various softwares we deploy in Studio Traversée. These videos were tested with a teacher at E2C, with whom we delivered the course itself. As usual with Studio Traversée, the students created their own video game while acquiring human, technical and professional skills. In effect, video games are but a canvas for developing abilities in sound design, 3D art, programming, artistic direction, narrative construction, level design, & more while also working in a team and developing soft skills.
